The factory processed 400 tonnes of sugar beet per day. 90 years later, with over 19,800 employees worldwide, the Group has become the world’s second-largest sugar producer, harnessing the full potential of agricultural raw materials in over 13 countries. Exerting control over the value chain from the upstream agricultural phase, Tereos guarantees food producers a secure supply and complete traceability at each stage of manufacturing its products.
Tereos possesses the most extensive portfolio of sweetening ingredients on the market with functionalities including:

- Anti-Crystallisation
These ingredients are components of choice for confectionery, drinks, dairy products, pastries, sauces and soups, ready meals, etc. Through its innovations, Tereos is contributing to healthy and sustainable food and to meeting the expectations of consumers who want more control over their balanced diet and to vary their sources of proteins.
In early 2022 the Group launched a new sustainability plan called SUSTAIN'2030. It is a strategy that focuses on every dimension of the Group's business.
