CocoaDesign™ L is a 100% naturally derived and COSMOS approved cocoa butter ethyl ester emollient. It is obtained through transesterification of Sustainable Promise Cocoa Butter and ethanol and made with cocoa from the Cargill Cocoa Promise sustainability program. It is a liquid with wax precipitate (bring to 45-50°C and mix for uniformity).
It is a highly stable, non-comedogenic, light dry oil with a smooth and silky feel; non sticky and non-greasy. It shows good spreadability and provides sunscreen solubilization, pigment wetting and stability properties. It has been shown to increase hydration and enhance skin barrier function. It also evokes cocooning enjoyable, pleasure and relaxing emotions to formulations as compared to placebo.
