Dibasic ester, or DBE is an ester of dicarboxylic acid, it is a clear, colourless liquid with a mild and fruity odour that is readily soluble in alcohols, ketones, ethers and many hydrocarbons but only slightly soluble in water and paraffinic hydrocarbons. Standard grade.
