Caustic soda is a highly abrasive, colourless alkali which is an essential ingredient in many industrial and commercial applications. It is manufactured through the electrolysis of sodium chloride. Membrane grade caustic soda contains less than 100 ppm of the sodium chloride. This 25% solution can be used in a broad range of applications including pulp and paper, detergents, water treatment, agricultural chemicals, paint removers, pigments, soap, surfactants and pH adjustment.
