TSPP (Tetrasodium pyrophosphate) is a very strongly alkaline polyphosphate that is mainly used in specialty applications or together with other more soluble phosphates. TSPP is used to promote proteins binding to water, improve texture and shell life in processed meat, sea food and potato products as well as being a source of phosphorus as a nutritient. It is also used as an emulsifier, pH buffer detergent thickener and water softener. This product is food graded.
