White, solid at room temperature, Coconut Oil melts when applied to the skin while spreading very easily. Its application brings a soft, greasy while non sticky after-feel. It is readily absorbed into the skin, as generations of users can confirm. The main characteristic of Coconut Oil is the high content of short and medium-sized saturated fatty acids, combined with a very low unsaturated fatty acids content. This makes this emollient stable while offering it a long shelf life. It also contains antioxidants (vitamin A and E), which help protect against free radical formation and consequent damage to the skin.
