Meritena 200 is a native wheat starch, obtained through the physical extraction of wheat before being purified and dried. It is a fine white powder with a neutral smell and taste. Meritena 200 has a wide range of uses including as a thickener, a stabilizer and a gelling and bulking agent. It can be used to improve texture, to aid in extrusion, improve shelf life, aid in dough improvement and volume expansion, create body and mouth feel and to have a masking effect on after notes.
