LIQUINAT L50 is a food grade 50% citric acid solution produced by a microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate mixed with and 50% demineralised water. Due to its advantages in handling, this product is widely used as acidulant and pH-control agent in foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals. It is a stable, non-volatile solution and completely miscible in water. LIQUINAT is a clear and practically odourless solution with a pure, fruit-sour flavour. Although it is strongly acidic, it is still non-toxic and environmentally safe. It is fully biodegradable and can be disposed with normal sewage after neutralisation according to local legislation.
