OROTAN 165 is a hydrophobic acrylic copolymer pigment dispersant used in a wide range of coating formulations. It is delivered as the ammonium salt of a carboxylate polyelectrolyte and is highly compatible with ACRYSOLT HEUR rheology modifiers. Coatings formulated with this dispersant offer excellent colour acceptance, heat stability, and enhanced water resistance, along with superior gloss development and corrosion resistance. Its improved water resistance properties benefit primer formulations, while in exterior flat and semi-gloss formulations, it provides good dispersing efficiency as demonstrated by hiding power. The high gloss capability makes it suitable for semi-gloss and gloss enamel systems.
